Determined, persistent, hardcore and patient all can be said of archery hunter and bowhunting writer Eddie Claypool. Known as a bowhunting junkie and the type of hunter who prefers blazing his own trail, Eddie epitomizes today’s modern “Do-It-Yourself” archery hunter. With a slightly stubborn mindset and the desire to venture beyond that of the average hunter, Eddie hunts in destinations that are well off the beaten path and oftentimes not easily accessible. With the aid of his mules he has ventured into the deepest grounds of North America’s wilderness areas in pursuit of big game.

Whether chasing whitetails in the Midwest or tackling the massive mountains of the west in search of elk, deer and moose, Claypool with his good ol’ boy charm regularly shares his adventurous treks throughout the pages of Petersen’s Bowhunting magazine. Eddie was recently recognized in BOWHUNTING’s July 2008 20th yea
r anniversary issue as a top bowhunting author.
