Amanda Sehringer, Jacksonville, Florida
|
Jim Sehringer was caught off guard when his daughter Amanda informed him last weekend that she wanted to take up bowhunting. He had no idea where the notion came from as he hadn’t hunted for more than 30 years since leaving New Jersey for Jacksonville, Florida. Not to fight it, he dove in head first getting his daughter set up and the duo practiced for the next five months. He equipped her with a BowTech Diamond Razor bow with a 47 pound draw and Carbon Express arrows that were tipped with a Muzzy 100-grain three blade broadheads.
Hunting with Florida Cracker Outfitters, Amanda was able to drop a boss tom that featured an 11-inch beard and weighed 18 pounds! The proud father called it one of the best weekends of his life. Nice work Amanda and Jim!
