Sitka Gear EWS System

While Sitka Gear is known for producing mid and late-season gear that helps whitetail hunters outlast inclement and frigid weather, the company also makes great early season gear too. That’s seen in the new Sitka Gear Whitetail ESW System, one designed to be worn alone during warmer hunts or as a base-layer as the season progresses. With Permanent Polygiene Odor Control Technology, the ESW System also has quiet fabrics that are bodymapped for breathability. With scent-free ventilation, the company says that hunters can stay dry and undetected even on days where sweat is coming fast and furious. Sporting a minimalist design, the ESW shirt has silent snaps and mesh armpits while the durable four-way stretch polyester pants feature cargo pockets with silent snaps and divided gear panels.

Browning Featherweight Upland Hunting Boots

Yes, the eight-inch Browning Featherweight is an upland boot, the kind that Browning Footwear is famous for creating. But the boot is equally home in early to mid-season treestands and ground blinds, thanks to TRULAST technology that uses performance foot-shape geometry for better fit and enhanced comfort. With Crazy Horse leather uppers and woven Codura panels adding abrasion resistance, the boot’s classic rubber sole provides grip and traction while its Climate Command locks out moisture while keeping a hunter’s feet warm and dry in rainy/muddy conditions. Known worldwide for making some of hunting’s most comfortable, lightweight boots, the new Browning model is available in Bracken and Potting Soil/Forest Night colors. The bottom line is that this boot works for bowhunters as well as pheasant hunters!

Huntworth Heavy Weight Soft Shell Jacket and Pants

Constructed of stretch polyester and bonded to thick Sherpa fleece, the new Huntworth Heavy Weight Soft Shell Jacket and Pants offers great cold-weather protection for mid and late season bowhunters. With an external DWR treatment, rain and snow are easily repelled while a Microban anti-microbial treatment on the fleece aids in scent reduction. With a full-zip heavy duty zipper, plenty of accessible storage pockets, a safety harness access hole, a long-tail hem, and a draw cord, there is much to like about the jacket. The same goes for the pants, which feature abrasion-resistant and reinforced knees and seat areas. Add in leg zippers, storm flaps, and a rubberized non-slip waistband and this looks to be a can’t miss garment system from Huntworth!

Kenetrek Lineman Extreme NI ST Boots

Veteran bootmaker Kenetrek has updated the Lineman Extreme NI ST boot model — and several others as well — thanks to a new K-73 outsole. Featuring a deep-relief, open-tread pattern along with 360-degree traction, this comes in a one-piece vulcanized rubber sole. Noted to be very durable, this boot and sole combination gives hunters excellent traction even on slick and difficult to navigate terrain. What’s more, in addition to the traction and endurance that Kenetrek boots are known for, these Lineman Extreme NI ST boots are comfortable even on the longest days and most trying hunts!

KUIU Super Down ULTRA Vest

Heading for a north country or mountain bowhunt next fall? KUIU says that its Super Down ULTRA Vest is the lightest, warmest, most pack friendly insulative layer that a hunter can own. With an athletic-fit, the Super Down ULTRA Vest features a ripstop nylon lining, Toray’s DWR-treated QUIXDOWN (which keeps its loft even when wet), and zippered hand pockets. Speaking of the hand pockets, KUIU says one doubles as a stuff sack and that both are located just a few inches above the hem to allow for easy access even when a bowhunter is wearing a pack. At just 4.8-ounces, the ULTRA Vest comes in the company’s Major Brown, Phantom Black, Verde 2.0, and Vias Camo pattern.

Monster Camo M800

New from Monster Camo, the M800 works when wet and is said to be warmer than down, thanks to the Climashield Apex 3 construction. With a moisture-wicking Aquaban treatment on the insulation, the outer shell brings its own features to the table with the Superfine Polyester Micro Fiber Riptstop fabric that keeps rips and punctures at bay no matter how thorny the environment. Add in the garment’s Scent-Tex anti-microbial and odor control is another feature of the M800. And thanks to the garment’s Blood-Tex technology, stains from field-dressing chores are a thing of the past. With side-zip pockets, armpit ventilation fabric, and wind-protection flaps and cuffs, this 22-ounce jacket is a must for 2018 Western and whitetail bowhunts!

Under Armour Mid-Season Kit

Few things are more dependable for hunting warmth than wool. Because of that, Under Armour is offering bowhunters a new Mid-Season Kit that features a medium-weight wool crew top and leggings. Both work to provide insulation, moisture wicking (thanks to the garment’s Moisture Transport System), and scent control (thanks to UA’s Anti-Odor Technology that helps prevent growth of odor-causing microbes). Constructed with UA’s Threadborne Wool, the Mid-Season outerwear is quiet and features UA Storm Technology to help protect a hunter from wind and rain. Available in either UA Barren or Forest Camo, the Mid-Season jacket has a harness slot, hand pockets, and chest pockets while the pants include 22-inch side zips and canvas scuff guards.
