Check out some of the top new broadheads from this year’s ATA Show.

Hypo Line Expands

Rage’s Hypodermic continues to be a go-to broadhead for bowhunters worldwide, and last year’s Hypodermic Trypan was a successful addition to the Hypodermic line. Now, the series welcomes the Hypodermic Trypan X, which is a model designed specifically for crossbow hunters. Incredible strength, maximum penetration, and huge slap cuts are traits Hypodermic fans enjoy, and the Trypan X includes the added benefit of Rage’s High Energy Shock Collar to retain blades during a high-velocity crossbow launch, but with the reliable blade deployment Rage Broadheads are known for. The sweptback blade angle ensures maximum penetration, even with the Trypan X’s large 2-inch cutting diameter. The needle-like ferrule is crafted from titanium for superior durability, and a ¾-inch-diameter in-flight profile ensures pinpoint accuracy.

MSRP: $54.99

Fixed Meets Mechanical

NAP’s Killzone Slingfire, a hybrid broadhead with fixed and mechanical blades, is designed to be the market’s best-penetrating broadhead. The 100-grain head features independent, pivoting mechanical blades to reduce friction and therefore improve penetration. Precision-ground, ultra-sharp blades slice cleanly to produce maximum blood flow. The Killzone Slingfire works exceptionally with high-performance bows and even crossbows. A large 2-inch cutting diameter delivers a punishing wound channel, and the four cutting surfaces ensure a wound that won’t close up. Great durability and accuracy round out this incredible broadhead.

Create a devastating, blood-spewing swath with Rocky Mountain’s all-new Steel Warhead SS, a 100-grain, 2-blade mechanical featuring reliable, over-the-top blade deployment. The precision-machined, stainless-steel ferrule ensures tight tolerances through repeated impacts, and a 1.5-inch cutting diameter ensures maximum flow for easy-to-follow blood trails. The Steel Warhead SS comes in packs of three, and durable, 0.035-inch-thick stainless-steel blades offer surgical sharpness and the integrity to withstand bone, giving you maximum penetration and cutting performance. A crossbow version is also available. The Steel Warhead SS gives you the quality construction of an expensive broadhead, but at an unbeatable price point.

MSRP: $29.99

Just Plain Lethal

TRUGLO entered the broadhead scene in 2017, and now it expands its offerings to include the Titanium X Backflip 2- and 3-blade broadheads, which features reverse-folding blades that open immediately after the tip creates a generous pilot hole. Both models are 100 grains, and the cutting diameters measure 1 ¾ and 1 ½ inches, respectively. TRU-THRU precision-sharpened blades produce pass-through shots, and the TRU-CUT one-piece titanium tip slams through hide, flesh, and bone. Spin-tested and sharpness-tested for ultimate performance, the Titanium X Backflip is the broadhead serious hunters will trust for their hard-earned shot opportunities. An installation wrench and one set of replacement blades are included.

Welcome the all-new Cheap Shot. Withstanding the rigors of hunting and target tests, the Cheap Shot performs as well as expensive Steel broadheads, but without corrosion. The Cheap Shot is available in both 100 and 125 grains, and is sold in packs of 10 or 50. Entirely USA-made from 100 percent polymer, the Cheap Shot makes a solid substitute for steel at a fraction of the price.

Big and Beefy

The OCD 125-grain broadhead by Blood Therapy Broadheads is the meaty big brother of the already successful OCD 100. The additional weight is added in the OCD’s circular blade. The broadhead dimensions have remained the same as the 100gr, which provides hunters an easier transition to the 125-grain version for the added weight to tackle tougher critters. As enjoyed by hunters using the OCD 100, the OCD 125 has the same flawless flight and performance. The natural aluminum finish of the ferrule provides a clean appearance to the business end of your arrow. If you’re looking for pinpoint accuracy and a little more punch, the OCD 125 is the broadhead for you.

MSRP: $34.99

They feature the exact size, aerodynamics, and weight distribution of G5 broadheads. Available with the G5 Dead Meat and popular Montec broadheads, the BMP eliminates the guesswork and tuning often involved when switching from field point to broadheads and vice versa. The points create similar wear to that of traditional target tips, and they feature solid, one-piece stainless-steel construction. Dead Meat versions are available in 100 and 125 grains, and in Deep Six and Crossbow varieties. The Montec versions are also available in 100 and 125 grains.
