Bowtech Detroyer 350

BowTech is celebrating its 10th anniversary by unleashing the all-new Destroyer -- the most technologically advanced bow the company has ever produced. Craig Yehle, BowTech's lead designer, said the Destroyer was designed to be quiet, accurate, forgiving and easy to draw. He said the fact that it also happens to be super fast is a nice bonus.

As the model names imply, the Destroyer 350 carries an IBO speed rating of 350 fps, while the Destroyer 340 clocks in at an impressive 340 fps. Perhaps the most revolutionary aspect of the Destroyer is its geared, OverDrive Binary Cam system. By using teeth on the cam and the axles, the possibility of cam slippage -- and cam timing issues -- is eliminated. Despite that, the cam system is still tunable thanks to an adjustable split buss attachment system.

The Destroyer line also features BowTech's new HardCore Limbs, which contain seven layers of carbon, aluminum and fiberglass for improved overall limb response, efficiency and durability. Finally, the Destroyers come with the new FLX-Guard cable containment system that flexes inward as the bow is drawn, preventing unwanted torque on the riser.

Both Destroyer models measure 32€‰3„8 inches axle-to-axle, weigh 4.1 pounds, have 80-percent letoff and peak draw weights from 50-70 pounds. The Destroyer 350 has a 6-inch brace height and draw lengths from 25-30 inches, while the Destroyer 340 has a 7-inch brace height and draw lengths from 26-31 inches. MSRP: $899-$949
