New Fixed-Blade Broadheads for 2019

New Fixed-Blade Broadheads for 2019
G5 Striker V2

Dirt Nap ALPHA

Dirt Nap ALPHA

Still living up to their name, Dirt Nap has added the new ALPHA broadhead to their already impressive lineup of fixed-blade heads this year. Although it does not offer the numerous eye-catching color schemes we’ve been accustomed to seeing from them, it is still equipped with Dirt Nap’s patented Modular Weight System that allows you to choose between 100 or 125 grains. The ALPHA’s all-steel construction is extremely durable and the surgical sharp vented main blades and additional bleeder blades pound through game.

G5 Striker V2

Dirt Nap ALPHA

G5’s Striker V2 is a fixed, replaceable-blade broadhead with a cut-on-contact 100-percent stainless steel design. Like its predecessor, the Striker V2 has extremely sharp Lutz blades and the blade retention system on the Striker V2 features a stronger hold, increasing the broadhead’s reliability, while still keeping blade replacement extremely simple. The ferrule of the Striker V2 is fully machined stainless steel and a cutting diameter of 1.25 inches.

Iron Will Outfitters S100

Iron Will Outfitters S100

Iron Will Outfitters seemed to burst onto the scene last season with their 4-blade vented V series and S series broadheads. The 100-grain model featured a grade 5 titanium ferrule that is 3 times stronger than a typical aluminum ferrule, while the heavier 125- to 225-grain bone busters use a hardened stainless steel ferrule. Both feature thick, hardened A2 Tool steel blades with cut-on-contact Tanto tips that slice through heavy game with ease. A new addition this year is a 100-grain solid blade model that has all the same features as its 100-grain vented cousin, just in a more com-pact package. For a personalized touch, engraving on all broadheads is also available.

Muzzy Broadheads ONE

Muzzy Broadheads ONE

Milled from a single block of premium stainless steel, the new Muzzy ONE truly does live up to its name. With the ability to precisely control all tolerances throughout the process, the One is equipped with a hybrid chisel/cut-on-contact tip and .046-inch-thick blades to deliver a 1 1/8-inch cutting path of destruction. The precision positioned vents on the blades ensure true flight with each drop of the string, and although the blades are ultra-sharp out of the package, they can easily be touched up with a sharpening stone for long lasting use.

Quality Archery Design Exodus

Quality Archery Design Exodus

Known for their Ultra Rest series, QAD has also made some waves in the broadhead arena with the Exodus, and this season they added a 125-grain crossbow model to the lineup. Much like its predecessor, this model also features QAD’s revolutionary BOS technology which aligns the stainless steel blades over the bolt to create a super short head that provides true spin while in flight. Because of its compact design, arrow tuning is a snap, and when you add its cut on contact tip and .040-inch-thick, razor-sharp blades, you know it can get the job done with ease.

Rocky Mountain Switchblade

Rocky Mountain Switchblade

Another hybrid making the rounds this year is the new Switchblade by Rocky Mountain. With the working man’s price in mind, the Switchblade features accurate and reliable 4-blade design that has a 7/8-inch cut-on-contact leading blade that is attached to a rugged aircraft-grade aluminum ferrule. Upon contact, a pair of wide-cutting expandable wing blades spring into action to deliver an additional 2 inches of cutting devastation. The mechanical blades are held in place with a fool-proof O-ring blade-retention system to ensure field point accuracy and reliability with every shot.

Steel Force American Muscle Head

Steel Force American Muscle Head

If looks could kill, you would want the new American Muscle Head from Steel Force on the tip of your arrow. Featuring three aggressive serrations on each blade, its wide spacing resists clogging as it drives through hair and bone. Each serration features an ultra-sharp single bevel design, while the cut-on-contact tip and wide channels between serrations feature a double-beveled design. This offset feature creates its own individual cutting path, delivering impressive entry and exit holes. Individually ground and hand stropped, the stainless steel American Muscle Head has .065-inch-thick blades with the main blade delivering a 1 3/8-inch cut and the bleeder blades adding an additional 7/8-inch cut.

SWAT Hybrid

SWAT Hybrid

Hybrid broadheads seem to be gaining in popularity every year, and the new SWAT Hybrid is just one example. With the ability to be shot both as a fixed blade and a mechanical, the Hybrid’s ferrule is constructed of hardened stainless steel. The extremely sharp .036-inch-thick 420 stainless steel SS blades are designed to cut a 1 1/8-inch diameter in two directions for a devastating 4 blade effect that is 2 ¼ inches — a wound channel like that will be easy to follow!

Swhacker Levi Morgan Series #262

Swhacker Levi Morgan Series #262

Co-designed by World Champion archer Levi Morgan and Swhacker originator and aerospace engineer Rick Forrest, the new Levi Morgan Series #262 sets the new standard in 3-blade fixed broadhead design. This power-packed 100-grain marvel delivers field-point accuracy and features .032-inch-thick stainless steel blades, anodized aircraft aluminum ferrule and chisel tip to deliver a devastating 1.25-inch wound channel.

Wasp Archery Havalon HV

Wasp Archery Havalon HV

This year the folks at Wasp Archery teamed up with Havalon Knives to develop the new Wasp Havalon HV broadhead. Two years in development, the Havalon HV features Wasp’s trademark Stainless Smart Tip (SST), which is designed for deep penetration. Like all 3-blade Wasp broad-heads, the Stainless Smart Tip is pressed on under hundreds of pounds of force and each blade is perfectly in-line with the edges of the tip to further enhance penetrating ability, as well as in-flight stabilization. The ferrule is constructed from an aerospace grade aluminum that provides field point accuracy and easy tuning, and the .35-inch thick surgically sharp stainless steel blades combine for a 1-3/16-inch cutting diameter.
