100-Percent Cut-On-Contact

To really get archery hunters motivated to buy a new broadhead, a manufacturer must address what we desire most from our gear. Ballistic Archery's Steel Force broadheads focus on quality, reliable products that are manufactured right here in the U.S. Steel Force is well known for reinventing the cut-on-contact head and are one of the only companies I know to use full titanium blades.

The fully assembled Steel Venom cut-on-contact series of broadheads offer a number of heads with varying blade thicknesses, grain sizes, blade constructions and cutting diameters. The tip is constructed from hardened stainless steel which includes precision machined slots for the blades to sit in. Choose between an 85-, 100-, or 125-grain head with blade thicknesses of .020 and .025 inches, serrated or non-serrated for all models, and cutting diameters of one and 1 1/16 inches.

Ballistics patented locking system allows the blades to extend all the way forward into the stainless steel cutting tip. The blades actually are in line with the cutting edges of the tip to increase penetration for quicker game recovery. To secure the blades in place, a front blade lock settles into the top of the 7075 aircraft aluminum ferrule and a rear blade lock uses a quick-change nik lock washer to secure the back of the blades for durability. Since I shoot a moderately fast bow, I chose to test out the 100-grain Steel Venoms with a serrated edge and non-serrated edge. I prefer three-blade broadheads so when I took them to the field, I was ecstatic about the consistency of my groups and to top it off, they're fully assembled and ready to shoot right out of the box.
