This past June I went hunting in Saskatchewan with my friend Dan Kasprzyk, hoping to film a successful hunt. The weather was warm and dry. The second night in stand was eventful, to say the least. After passing on two decent bears I spotted the third bear; a shooter. He was a giant. As he came into bow range toward the bait, Dan said the camera was rolling. I stood up and drew, and released an arrow right into the sweet spot. Rather than run away, the bear looked for the intruder. Within 30 seconds, he was down and he only traveled a few yards from the hit site. He weighed more than 400 pounds and will score more than 20 inches Pope & Young. Having this experience filmed by a longtime friend is absolutely priceless.
