Kevin Calderwood
First bow kill for this Ohio hunter is a product of patience and well-timed rattling

NAME: Kevin Calderwood

WHERE FROM: Ohio

HARVESTED: Ohio

TYPE OF FIREARM OR BOW USED: Fred Bear Vapor 300, Carbon Express, Muzzy 100 Gr.

SPECIES TYPE: whiteteal

SIZE AND WEIGHT: 8 points, 180 pounds

DESCRIPTION: Just as I was about to get down from my treestand after a pretty intense day of hunting I just happened to hear some movement on the right side of my tree. So I looked over to see what made the noise and saw this buck chasing a doe just up the hill. I grunted to try and lure him to me, but with no luck. He kept his pace with the doe. So when he was out of sight, I rattled some and soon after that, he came running down the hill with smaller buck following close behind. When I finally got him stopped about 20 yards away, I took aim and my arrow broke both of his shoulders and went through his heart to score my first buck kill with a bow, and my first buck in my years of hunting.
