Illinois hunting partners Gerald Shaffer and Bill Kallister.
For the past 65 years, Bill Kallister and Gerald Shaffer have been bowhunting together throughout North America. The two Illinois natives began bowhunting for small game as youngsters in their home state, and made their first deer hunting expedition to the bowhunting Mecca that was Grayling, Michigan when non-resident licenses cost $10. Those early hunting experiences opened the eyes of Bill and Gerald, and the rest is a lifelong friendship filled with memorable outdoor experiences.
Throughout their endeavors, the two have managed to kill more than 200 North American big game animals with stick and string. Besides being dedicated and successful archery hunters, the two were also master bowyers; creating custom traditional bows out of pure necessity. Bill and Gerald have shared a lifetime of hunting experiences with one another, now they would like to share a piece of it with you.
