Hoyt's flagship hunting rig for 2010 includes a number of new features that build on the success of last year's AlphaMax. The new Maxxis 31 has an IBO speed rating of 323 fps and offers Hoyt's new past-parallel, laminated XTS ARC Limb System, which deadens vibration in the bow and results in an extremely smooth shot. The Maxxis 31 also features a patent-pending, In-Line Roller Guard that reduces friction, 180 Grip, XTR Cam & 1/2 system and new TEC Lite Riser for lightweight strength.
The Maxxis 31 measures 31 inches between the axles, has a 7-inch brace height, 75-percent letoff and weighs 3.9 pounds. It's available with peak draw weights from 40-90 pounds and draw lengths from 26-30 inches. The Maxxis 35, a nearly identical model measuring 35 inches between the axles, also is available. MSRP: $929
