T.R.U. Ball XT Hybrid

T.R.U. Ball’s Beast XT Hybrid features a one-piece head with a multi-positional trigger for forward or relaxed trigger placement. The release aid’s quick-loading, open-hook design allows for fast attachment to a D-loop, while its travel-adjustment screw provides easy and secure trigger adjustment. The Beast XT Hybrid’s ergonomic “X-tra Tough” body helps it keep the string in line with the direction of the release’s pull, preventing the torque that often results from traditional release aid designs. The body also provides archers with additional grip for a secure draw. MSRP: $114.99 | truball.com

Spot Hogg Tuff Guy

Spot Hogg Tuff Guy

Spot Hogg’s Tuff Guy is a single-jaw, full-capture release aid that locks securely into place when the jaw is closed around the D-loop. The trigger is weight-adjustable from “scary light” to “Can I get a little help here, please?” and has zero creep. The Tuff Guy can be folded back out of the way when the bowhunter needs to climb into a stand, range an animal, etc., and its length can be micro-adjusted for a perfect fit. The Tuff Guy is available with a black leather buckle, a Realtree camo buckle or the BOA system. MSRP: $119.99-$149.99 | spot-hogg.com

Fletcher Archery Precise Pro

T.R.U. Ball XT Hybrid

Fletcher’s Precise Pro T-handle release aid is about fit as well as function. With itsadjustable thumb trigger and sear tension, sling wrist strap, 360-degree rotating head and four-finger design, the Precise Pro can accommodate a number of shooting preferences while providing a smooth and seamless release with zero torque. The Precise Pro is available in a brushed-metal finish. MSRP: $109.99 | fletcherarchery.com

B3 Archery Alpha

B3 Archery Alpha

B3 says its Alpha release aid is setting new standards in the dual-caliper-release world, and with good reason. The Alpha’s roller-sear design and adjustable trigger provide a clean release shot after shot, and its blackened stainless-steel jaws are fully radiused for use off the bowstring or with a D-loop. Two connector styles — a swivel stem and a flex connector system — are available, allowing for 11 length settings or infinite length adjustment, respectively. MSRP: $84.99 | b3archery.com
