Still Going Strong

George Shurtleff has over fifty years of archery hunting experience under his belt. His knowledge of Columbian Blacktails has resulted in the taking of the world record in 1969, which has stood the test of time since it was officially recognized in 1977. He has also harvested two other exceptional blacktails that qualified for the Pope & Young record book.

At the age of 90, George Shurtleff is still shooting his bow, and plans to hunt this coming fall. Listen in as he shares with us the story of his 172 2/8 inch world record, as well as his secret to success on not only blacktails, but mule deer as well.
