Five First Bows

The Mathews Genesis (www.mathewsinc.com) single-handedly revolutionized the youth bow market with its one-size-fits-all design. The Genesis System eliminates letoff, so there is no specific draw length. As a result, the Genesis can accommodate shooters with draw lengths from 15-30 inches and grow with a child without the need for constant adjustments. The Genesis measures 35€‰ 1/2 inches axle-to-axle and features an adjustable draw weight from 10-20 pounds and a forgiving 7€‰5„8-inch brace height. Available in various target colors and Realtree Hardwoods AP camo.

The Diamond Nuclear Ice (www.diamondarchery.com) features a machined aluminum riser, beyond parallel limbs and pivoting limb pockets. This dual-cam bow looks and performs like dad's -- capable of propelling arrows at speeds up to 195 fps! The Nuclear Ice features modular draw length adjustment from 14-24 inches and draw weights from 10-29 pounds. It measures 22 1/2 inches between the axles, has a 6€‰1„8-inch brace height and 70 percent letoff. Optional accessory package includes three-pin sight, capture arrow rest, quiver and three carbon arrows.

The all-new Fuse Freestyle (www.fusearchery.com) is an ultra-adjustable bow with everything you need to get your kids shooting. Available in regular or pink camo, the Freestyle comes with a 3-pin fiber optic sight, full-capture arrow rest, two-piece quiver, three arrows, brass nock set and arm guard. The bow itself weighs just 2.3 pounds and features adjustable draw length from 14-24 inches (in half-inch increments) and draw weight from 10-25 pounds. It measures 29 inches axle-to-axle and has a 6€‰ 1/2-inch brace height.

The Bear Brave 2 (www.beararcheryproducts.com) is another complete archery set. The Brave 2 is a 30-inch axle-to-axle bow with an adjustable 20-22-inch draw length and 17-22-pound draw weight. The bow has a 7-inch brace height and 65 percent letoff. The Brave 2 set also includes two fiberglass arrows, armguard, two-piece quiver, finger tab, arrow rest and single-pin sight. Available in green, black, pink and camouflage.

The all-new Martin Tiger (www.martinarchery.com) features Martin's unique, shoot-through riser, which eliminates the need for a rest. The shoot-through riser doubles as the sight window, with a single, adjustable pin inside. The single-cam bow is designed for left- or right-handed shooters and will shoot at any draw length from 14-22 inches without adjustment. Draw weight can be adjusted from 10-20 pounds. The Tiger kit includes three arrows, armguard, finger tab, color target, belt quiver and bow sling. Available in black or camo.
