TenPoint Unveils ‘World's Fastest Crossbow'

TenPoint Crossbow Technologies today took the wraps off an impressive 2024 lineup, headlined by the all-new TRX 515 — a rig that sets a new standard for crossbow speed by launching 410-grain bolts an astounding 515 feet per second (fps) with precision accuracy out to 100 yards thanks to a host of high-tech innovations.

While the raw speed of the TRX 515 is certainly an attention grabber, a closer look at this crossbow shows significant design changes that take performance to the next level, starting with TenPoint’s new Twin-Riser Technology. Designed with symmetrical top and bottom plates that reduce riser flex for improved accuracy, this innovation also reduces riser weight by 41 percent while doubling riser stiffness and reducing riser flex by 70 percent. Combined with the new, rail-less, ZERO-Trac Barrel design, Twin-Riser Technology also shaves nearly a full pound of weight, resulting a crossbow that weighs 7.2 pounds (without accessories) while measuring 29 inches long, 6 inches wide when cocked and 12 inches wide uncocked.

The TRX 515 features a reverse-draw design that places the riser close to center of the crossbow for improved balance and maneuverability. And by drawing the bowstring off the front of the cams (away from the shooter), TenPoint achieves a 16-inch power stroke that maximizes bolt speed and results in longer nock-to-string engagement during the shot for improved downrange accuracy.

Speaking of accuracy, it is further enhanced on the TRX 515 via a new, custom-built TriggerTech Trigger featuring a crisp, 3-pound break, along with a Dry-Fire-Preventer that blocks the trigger from releasing the bowstring unless a bolt is properly loaded. Also enhancing accuracy is the new ACU-Lock Scope Bridge, a fully reinforced, machined-aluminum scope mount that provides maximum stability for your optic of choice and allows for a greater range of scope placement for a perfect fit for any shooter. The TRX 515 comes standard with TenPoint’s EVO-X Markman Elite Scope 3.0, featuring dual red/green adjustable illumination and precise aiming points out to 100 yards calibrated for the speed of the crossbow. The TRX 515 can also be paired with your choice of either the Garmin XERO X1i or Burris Oracle X laser-rangefinding crossbow scopes.

As mentioned previously, the TRX 515’s ZERO-Trac Barrel design eliminates the traditional flight rail in favor of a new system that dramatically reduces friction. The new GUIDE-Lock Arrow Rest System features three points of contact at the front of the crossbow, with the bolt resting on two, spring-loaded ball bearings at the bottom and held securely in place by a retention brush at top. Meanwhile, the Alpha-Nock HPX on the included CenterPunch HPX bolts features Nock Retention Grooves that audibly click into place inside the trigger housing, offering optimal bolt support both front and rear. TenPoint says this new design, combined with the TriggerTech trigger, is the most secure and consistent launch platform ever built for a crossbow.

Also new on the TRX 515 is the ACUslide MAXX cocking and de-cocking device, a stronger, smoother and easier-to-use version of TenPoint’s original ACUslide. Like the original, the ACUslide MAXX features the Auto-Brake Gear System that holds the bowstring securely in place throughout the draw cycle, allowing you to remove your hand from the cocking handle at any point without losing control. The ACUslide MAXX also cocks and de-cocks the crossbow in silence while reducing the TRX 515’s 300-pound draw weight to a mere 5 pounds of cranking effort. The ACUslide MAXX cocking handle mounts to a Picatinny rail, offering multiple mounting/storage options.

Other highlights of the TRX 515 include: a new, AR-style Ambidextrous Thumb Safety located directly above the shooter’s firing hand; new Pivoting Limb Pockets to ensure perfect limb-to-riser alignment; a new Limb Dampening Containment System to further reduce noise and vibration; an integrated string stop system; and an integrated bow hook for easy hanging in the stand.

Available in Moss Green or Vektra camouflage, the TRX 515 ships fully assembled and comes as a ready-to-shoot package that includes a quiver, bow hook, bubble level, your choice of scope and three CenterPunch HPX premium carbon bolts. It is worth noting that the included bolts weigh 445 grains and produce a bolt speed of 495 fps when shot from the TRX 515. The crossbow’s advertised 515 fps speed is achieved using 410-grain TenPoint Pro Elite 400 bolts sold separately.

TX 440

The new TX 440 features many of the innovations found on the TRX 515 in a crossbow featuring a traditional, forward-draw bow assembly. TenPoint calls the TX 440, which measures just 28 inches long and 6.5 inches wide when cocked, its most technologically advanced compact crossbow ever.

Like the TRX 515, the TX 440 offers TenPoint’s new Twin-Riser Technology, ZERO-Trac Barrel with GUIDE-Lock Arrow Rest System, custom-built TriggerTech 3-pound trigger with Dry-Fire-Preventer and ACUslide MAXX cocking and de-cocking system.

Featuring a 12-inch power stroke and 300-pound draw weight, the TX 440 propels the included 445-grain CenterPunch HPX bolts at 420 fps, while the optional, 410-grain Pro Elite 400 bolts can be fired at the advertised speed rating of 440 fps.

Siege 425

The new Siege 425 represents a faster, more accurate version of TenPoint’s Siege RS410, featuring 15 fps more speed than the original and 100-yard accuracy thanks to the addition of Scope Struts and RangeMaster 100 Scope.

Featuring a reverse-draw bow configuration that maximizes power stroke and overall crossbow balance and maneuverability, the Siege 425 measures 26.5 inches long, 7.5 inches wide when cocked, 12 inches wide uncocked and weighs 7.5 pounds without accessories. It has a 13.5-inch power stroke, 220-pound draw weight and propels the included 16-inch, 410-grain CenterPunch bolts at 425 fps.

The Siege 425 also features TenPoint’s ACUslide mechanism that allows you to cock and de-cock the crossbow silently and easily using only 5 pounds of effort. You can also pause at any point during the process and remove your hand from the crank handle thanks a built-in braking system that holds the bowstring securely in place.

Long-range accuracy on the Siege 425 is enhanced via the addition of Scope Struts that boost the strength of the scope-mounting rail by 80 percent, providing a rock-solid foundation and tremendous in-the-field durability. TenPoint tops that rail with the RangeMaster 100 Scope featuring upgraded glass for improved clarity and brightness and aiming points out to 100 yards, in 10-yard increments, that are matched to the speed of the crossbow for precise shot placement.

Venom X

The new Venom X is sure to generate a lot of consumer interest in 2024, as it the lightest and lowest-priced ACUslide crossbow TenPoint has ever offered.

With a weight of just 6.9 pounds (without accessories) and a price starting under $1,000, the Venom X boasts high-end features such as the new MDX Cam System, new Quad-Yoke cable technology and new 4x32 Pro-View 400 dual illuminated scope with speed-calibrated aiming points in 10-yard increments out to 70 yards.

Designed with a traditional, forward-draw bow assembly, the Venom X measures 32.5 inches long, 9.75 inches wide cocked and 13 inches wide uncocked. It has an 11.75-inch power stroke and 215-pound draw weight that is reduced to just 5 pounds via the integrated ACUslide. It propels the included 410-grain Pro Elite 400 bolts at 390 fps.

Other highlights of the Venom X include: the S1, two-stage, zero-creep, 3.5-pound trigger with DFI Dry-Fire-Inhibitor; lightweight, two-piece, TECH-TAC stock; included bow hook; and integrated string dampening system. The Venom X comes as a ready-to-shoot kit in your choice of Moss Green or Vektra camo.

Titan 400

With the Titan 400, TenPoint took its all-time, best-selling model and improved it dramatically by increasing the bolt speed to 400 fps, integrating the new ACUdraw Silent cocking mechanism and adding the Pro-View 400 illuminated scope — all for a price less than $850.

Propelling the included 410-grain Pro Elite 400 bolts at 400 fps, that’s 40 fps faster than the previous Titan while the price tag is now $50 less. Add in the new ACUdraw Silent that silently cocks this 215-pound draw-weight bow with just 5 pounds of force and you have a very compelling value.

Powered by the new MDX Cam system, the Titan 400 features a traditional, forward-draw bow assemble and measures 33 inches and 9.75 inches wide cocked and 13 inches wide uncocked. It has a 12-inch power stroke and weighs a mere 6 pounds (without the ACUdraw Silent or other accessories).

The Titan 400’s lightweight, Tactical X stock provides excellent comfort and balance, while the new Pro-View 400 Scope offers your choice of red or green illumination that can be adjusted to match shooting conditions, along with speed-calibrated aiming points out to 70 yards, in 10-yard increments. The Titan 400 is also equipped with a bow hook that allows the hunter to easily hang their bow in the stand and keeps the broadhead within the bow’s profile for use in a ground blind. String Dampeners are also included that fit in the barrel to reduce noise and vibration.

Finished in TenPoint’s exclusive Vektra camo, the Titan 400 ships completely assembled and as a ready-to-shoot package that includes bolts, fieldpoint and quiver.
