Crossbows continue to grow in popularity across North America. New technologies and engineering have created horizontal bows that are faster, safer, consistently accurate, and intuitive to use. Keeping up with the new designs and science behind the new crossbows are the accessories. Electronic optics, enhanced arrows and broadheads, targets, and storage systems are leaping forward as fast as the crossbows they support and augment.

TenPoint Axis Tripod

If you hunt from a blind, the Axis Tripod is designed for stability and maneuverability in tight spaces. The leg design and angles use a much smaller footprint than others on the market without compromising steadiness. The tripod uses a clamp to firmly hold the forend of a crossbow, placing the weight directly over the legs. The clamp and stability allow you to leave your crossbow locked in place and ready to shoot without movement. A quarter turn of the clamp knob loosens it enough to make adjustments quickly and quietly. The Axis is extremely lightweight, collapses to 25 inches, and extends up to 40 inches tall. There is even a “hunt hammock” on the tripod to keep essentials at your fingertips. A built-in compass ensures a direct line on a shot animal or helps you recover an arrow. A bubble level ensures your bow is not canted, improving accuracy and arrow flight.

The turrets are low profile with ½ MOA adjustment. The zoom ring is easy to manipulate from 2 to 7 power. SEVR Titanium 1.75

SEVR Titanium 1.75

The SEVR Titanium 1.75 mechanical broadheads have blades that fold into the ferrule and use acceleration, wind, and travel speeds to stay closed in flight. An O-ring provides insurance against deployment. The blades are rear-deploying, open on impact, and lock in place. The angle of the blades creates a slap-cut on entry, cutting more than the blade’s 1.75-inch diameter. When deployed, the blades steer around bone as they cut without changing trajectory. An included lock screw keeps blades from deploying when using the head for practice, allowing you to shoot it, remove the lock screw, put on an O-ring, and go hunt.

Morrell continues to produce targets to keep up with new and incredible speeds within the changing crossbow market. The BOA Compression Target will stop arrows well over 500 feet per second. Bow Spider Crossbow Spider

Bow Spider is a unique carrying, storage, and retrieval system for your crossbow. The Crossbow Spider fits most models, is durable enough to withstand the toughest hunting conditions, and is easy to attach. A lightweight, round hub or receiver holds the crossbow. A short aluminum arm attaches to the crossbow’s Picatinny rail with clamps. The arm slides into the receiver and uses gravity to hold the crossbow securely, which can be retrieved in seconds by lifting upward and taking the bow’s weight off the receiver. The receiver can be mounted to a backpack, belt, or bino harness but also works as a storage system at home or in a tree. Mount the receiver where you want to hang the bow and know it is secure. The Crossbow Spider comes with everything required for attaching and setup. Extra receivers can be purchased for storage at home or even on the back of a headrest in your vehicle. The unit is lightweight and versatile for hunting and storage.

Getting a new crossbow or upgrading optics means time on the range to get sighted in and ensure reticles are perfectly aligned at shooting distances. A new Crossbow Sighting Target makes getting dialed in with exact speed and aiming points easier than ever. Start by sighting your crossbow in at 20 yards. Use a chronograph for the actual feet per second of your hunting setup. With speed verified, go to the target options and find the one that matches the speed. The calibrated target has a 20-yard bull’s eye at the bottom, with 10-yard intervals going up to 80 yards. Aim at the 20-yard target with your 30-yard reticle, and the arrow should hit the 30-yard bull’s eye. Shoot the 40- to 80-yard increments to confirm all aiming points. Never move from the 20-yard shooting position; know you are lined up from 20 to 80 yards. Targets are provided for crossbow speeds from 280 to 500 feet per second.
